Go Green.

At Boston Interiors we believe in following environmentally responsible retail practices and for us that not only means offering our customers eco-friendly product options, but operating a company that is socially and environmentally responsible as well.

In our warehouse facility alone, we recycle approximately 199.18 tons of cardboard and 38.16 tons of plastic associated with furniture-packing materials each year. We also participate in recycling programs at our offices, resulting in 3.7 tons of office paper recycling per year. Energy efficient motion detector lights have been installed throughout our 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse allowing us to reduce energy consumption as well.

Buy Green.

All purchases come with a set of choices and being environmentally responsible has become a way of life for many consumers and companies alike who recognize the need to preserve the health and welfare of future generations. Below are some of the eco-friendly practices being used to produce many of the furniture products carry:

  • Implementation of soy based foams and recycled fiber filling used in cushions.
  • Membership in groups such as The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), The Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), or The Sustainable Furniture Council (SFC) which practice sustainable forestry.
  • Upholstery items available with CARB furniture code which eliminates the use of formaldehyde in upholstery.
  • Use of natural materials such as bamboo, cotton, linen, hemp, abaca, silk, wool and jute.
  • Cushion Springs made from recycled iron ore.
  • Elimination of bleaching processes by use of organic fabrics.
  • Use of water based paints and finishes.

If you're looking for eco-friendly furniture options...we want to make it as simple & easy as possible! Here's what to look for:

  1. In our stores – look for a green leaf icon on the tag. The icon lets you know the product has an eco-friendly element(s) to it. A short description on the tag will further explain how the product is green.
  2. On our website – If the product has eco-friendly features, they will be listed in the product specs.
