Merchandising Administrative Assistant

Boston Interiors is a successful home furnishings retailer with nine stores in Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Merchandising team Assistant with terrific communication and customer service skills. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all open purchase orders. Includes: factory acknowledgement review and entry, updating of purchase orders, and bi-weekly review of unacknowledged report.
  • Respond to store inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Price and place special orders with factories, as directed.
  • Make any changes to open purchase orders based on sales or buyers request.
  • Bi-weekly reallocation of stock based on scheduled delivery date, delivery instructions and/or promise date, as directed.
  • Order and distribute sales tools, including finish samples, fabric samples, catalog photos and brochures for stores relating to merchandising.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing phone and fax communications.
  • Monitor vendor delivery performance and updating of Vendor Lead Time list.
  • Place orders for photoshoot product as directed.
  • Assist with general duties as needed.
  • Process stock order with vendors.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. They must work well independently and in a team setting and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is capable of working quickly, efficiently, independently, has excellent communication skills, and is self motivated.

  • Ability to multitask, stay organized and focused.
  • Strong PC skills, Excel and Word and ability to learn new systems are necessary. AS400 experience a plus.
  • Communication and problem solving skills are imperative.
  • Excellent follow-up skills are an absolute must.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Minimum of 2 years office experience.

Associate Manager, E-Commerce & Analytics

The Associate Manager, E-Commerce & Analytics is responsible for managing our website and digital marketing mix across all channels and assist in executing marketing programs that will drive web traffic and conversions with a focus on growing brand awareness, building customer engagement and driving retail sales. The ideal candidate is a motivated professional who will bring innovative ideas to this new role within our growing company.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position plays a critical role on the Boston Interiors Marketing team including digital analytics, program execution, and performance analysisand in identifying the solutions needed to build the digital presence of the brand. Leadership skills, innovative thinking, and attention to detail are essential.

Functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Boston Interiors website including; back-end functionality, content development/accuracy, user experience/interface, e-commerce and search engine optimization.
    • Ongoing assessment and optimization of website performance, including total project management of any website modifications. This includes assisting with regular product & content uploads
  • Management of Boston Interiors blog, with content suggestions and UX insights.
  • Vendor/Project management of various ecommerce and digital partners
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of all digital marketing activity in an effort to maximize results. Leverage analytics across all channels to draw conclusions, make recommendations and implement actions for future digital marketing plans.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a successful digital marketing strategy that strengthens online brand positioning, consumer engagement, and drives website traffic.  Work with agency on analysis and recommendations for online display and search advertising.
  • Analyze Email marketing strategy, including list growth strategies, performance analysis and recommendations for campaign optimization.
  • Execute email marketing campaigns within ESP as needed.
  • Monitor competition in the digital space. Propose and drive new initiatives to ensure Boston Interiors remains competitive.

Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems, preferably Magento
  • Experience with HTML & CSS a plus
  • Experience with Wordpress a plus
  • Must be able to adapt to ever-changing situations in a fast-paced environment.

Marketing Design Specialist

Reports to: Director of Marketing
Location: Corporate Office, Stoughton, MA

Boston Interiors is a successful home furnishings retailer with nine stores in New England. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to provide photography, creative design and production support to our Marketing team. Must be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite CC — focusing on Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Our fast-paced environment requires an excellent team player with a “proactive” work ethic as well as the ability to quickly switch to “reactive” mode when the situation demands. Flexibility is mandatory.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Design Specialist will be responsible for preparing imagery for our website by photographing, silhouetting and color-correcting photos, creating in-store signage, and print communication collateral.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Create & manage in-store point of purchase materials and product tags using our branded InDesign templates
  • Responsible for photographing, silhouetting and color correcting of product photos for the website  
  • Create product schematics for store and website
  • Creation of final deliverables to print-ready and/or web-compliant standards
  • Design & schedule weekly emails
  • General administrative & social media support

Qualifications:

  • A degree in graphic design, photography, communications, marketing or other related field required.
  • Deep understanding and experience in graphic design disciplines including visual brand communication, layout, color, typography, print and production
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, and InDesign CC
  • Knowledge of web-safe palettes and browser compatibility is a must
  • Digital photography and lighting experience is encouraged
  • Interest in home design and home furnishings industry is a plus
