Next, a plush throw blanket and looped felt pillow add some dimension and texture, while keeping the color palette neutral.
Then we opened the door to the sideboard and placed some books inside on the shelves.
We use old books found at yard sales and salvage stores.
Sometimes, like in this case, we place the books backwards as to show the aged pages because we love that sepia color.
Small accents like these stack-able fish bowls and plates add a little more interest. Placing extra throw blankets in the sideboard makes it easy for customers to grab and purchase them. (As I built this vignette, a nice lady fell in love with the throw blanket and purchased one!)
Some beaded aluminum picture frames and silver candle trays add some shine...
Top it off with a brushed steel lamp to add some light and voila, we have a chic vignette in just 5 minutes! The plush throw and pillow make the area more inviting, and having the door open shows off all of the storage that the sideboard offers. Now this vignette catches your eye and is more appealing to shoppers.
