Last week our Hanover store hosted a style workshop, "Back to Basics". It was an evening of design inspiration plus wine & cheese, gifts and discounts! Just take a look at this spread... Our talented Design Associates shared their expert tips on the do's and don'ts of design from furniture placement to picking color palettes. Below was one of their examples, "Do" allow 18” between the coffee table and sofa edge to give enough leg room but be able to set items down without straining.

They also talked about getting inspired by your favorite fashion styles or places you've visited and how to translate those ideas into your home.

Here they discussed how to use the color wheel to learn how to blend colors and patterns to change the look of your room. By starting with a neutral sofa you can easily change the look and feel of your space seasonally with some simple accessory changes.

Sticking to the right side of the color wheel for guidance offers a warm and welcoming feel. Achieve a cooler and relaxed space by working with the left side of the color wheel.
