Trend Watch: Fall 2021
Even though it might be getting cooler outside we’re sharing with you what’s HOT in interior design! Our homes have become a main focus to us recently and many of us are looking to update, refresh and renew our living spaces. Our talented team of buyers are scouring the furniture markets, trend watching and making sure that we have what you need to be in and stay in fashion. Get the inside scoop on what is up and coming for home design and how you can get the look NOW!
Seating: Plush and cushy
Clean lines with bench seating, overstuffed, luxury, fall in feels. Sofas and sectionals are now our movie watching, nap taking, and sometime dinner eating locations. We want comfort.
Prints: Bold and Wild
It’s a jungle out there and we can feature it in our own spaces! Make a statement with fun and fabulous fabrics on chairs, jazz up solid sofas with toss pillows, bring color and flash to your room with bright rugs under foot.
Colors:
Red River Clay
Natural inspired tones take on a more muddy, terra cotta look. Think of a burgundy that has a sun washed feel.
As scene at one of the largest fabric vendor’s showroom, this mood board shows it best.
Special order fabrics get you there on your main feature items or bring it in through accents.
Muted Greens/Fog Green
Just like shades of gray…there are soo many shades of green; Grass green, Kelly green, chartreuse, lime, and so on. Our insiders are telling us to watch for the more muted, dusty more subdued shades of green. This becomes an excellent pairing with your neutrals when it heads to the more gray on the green scale.
Any of the colors of this year’s trends will work to feature in your large pieces in your room, or to use it as an accent color. These greens are calming, quiet tones perfect for when you want your home to feel like a haven.
White Out
Clean and Fresh. White has been on our trend watch for a while, but now in an even bigger way.
Whether using it as the perfect backdrop for those bright accents to jump off of, or capturing that airy and renewed feeling, white furniture, rugs and accents are here to stay.
Shades of Blue and Midnight
The “new” neutral is a crisp navy. Once saved as only an accent color, Navy has earned the right to be center stage in sofas, bedrooms and home offices.
Working with whites always but also with our ever present gray tones, navy looks great at the beach or with a city view.
